Dear Saints
It is so good to be back home in Honolulu. I had a wonderful time in Australia but Hawaii No Ka Oi! Or should I say, “New Hope No Ka Oi!”
This weekend I’ll be speaking on “Increasing Your Time.” We all have the same amount of time each day (24 hours) but the fruitfulness of our time is determined by our stewardship. I’ll be sharing on the secret of fruitfulness and ways we can increase our time. We’re also having Baby Dedication at our services. It’s not too late to sign up if you’re still interested.
March is upon us and that means Easter is approaching. Our Easter invitation cards will be coming out in a few weeks. Our lives, our church, our ministries are vitally important to people’s lives, and without you, many may not find their way home to the Father. Please be sure to reach another person for Christ and invite them our Easter service. To help usher us into the Easter celebration, we are having an All Night Prayer meeting on Friday, March 30. You are invited to join us beginning at 10 PM at the LEAD Center. Stay all night or drop in any time before Saturday morning at 6 AM.
We will also be hosting another Pastor’s Leadership Practicum March 15 - 20. Watch for them and let’s be praying forward for this.
I’m looking forward to seeing you this weekend at church!
Much love,
Pastor Wayne Cordeiro

Dear Saints:
I am in Brisbane, Australia for a few days on my final leg of a three-city teaching tour. It’s been great but I am homesick for pickled ogo, teriyaki chicken and most of all, the warm hearts of the New Hope ‘ohana.
Thank you for allowing me to take time and mentor the pastors of two great nations: Australia and New Zealand. I know that part of our assignment is to develop leaders in the Pacific Rim. Bill Hybels (Pastor of Willow Creek Church in Chicago) and I have been doing back to back forums and sessions with over 400 pastors of some the most influential churches in these nations. Adelaide, Melbourne, and Brisbane are our stops where pastors fly in from cities as far as Perth, Tasmania, Alice Springs, Auckland, and Christchurch.
I’ve met many people but the lesson I’m taking to heart is that Jesus has called me to a wonderful church in the middle of the Pacific called New Hope Christian Fellowship.
This weekend Pastor Jonathan Smith will be speaking. We have a wonderful teaching team at New Hope, and every message resounds with current truths that will enrich our lives. I’ll be home next week and can’t wait to see everyone!
Until then, God bless you and stay healthy. You are loved!

Dear Saints,
One of Hawaii’s greatest gifts is our warm, blue ocean. And my one-man canoe helps me to find that treasure each time I paddle. I feel the exhilaration as I skim over the translucent water and the feel warmth of the sun.
One sunny day, I packed my canoe aboard my car, arrived at the launch site, assembled the canoe, and everything looked promising … except for one thing. I had forgotten my paddle! Not good. Our hands are no substitute for a paddle. I was all dressed up and nowhere to go! Although the beauty of the ocean awaited me, I could do nothing except return home.
It’s like getting to your car only to find you don’t have the keys. Or going to a restaurant and forgetting your wallet. Headed for a flight and leaving your tickets at home.
Doing our daily devotions is like your paddle … your keys … your wallet … your airline ticket.
As 2007 awaits us, take your paddle. Pack your keys. Start each day off well and you will be treated to God’s greatest treasures. Make your devotional time a no-brainer. Reserve the time each day for feeding your soul. We make time each day to feed our bodies, and how much more important is our future and our life decisions. God knows what you will be facing, and He will prepare you as you take time to listen.
The beauty of your best future awaits you. Don’t forget the basics or the most promising treasure will elude you… so before you leave home, don’t forget. Otherwise you’ll be starting up the day without a paddle!
Much Love,
Pastor Wayne Cordeiro
PS: I am “down under” in Australia this week, but know that I am praying for our great church! Pastor Elwin Ahu is speaking on “Hidden Service.”

Dear Saints:
Mahalo! to the many volunteers who made this last week’s Doing Church as a Team conference wildly successful! To add to that praise report, this weekend’s services were over the top! We had 522 people respond to the call to serve! Thank you to the many who said “Yes.” Every person is crucial to what God has in mind and we’ve got to do this together.
Avalon, our guest performers took the icing on the cake. They were fantastic. I love being part of such a great church!
This weekend I will be speaking on “Walking with a Limp.” Wouldn’t it be nice if success came sweetly? But the reality is that if we are to succeed we will need to win over adversity. Just because we want to do good does not mean we will be applauded. We will need to do good among the jeers, and we will need to win against the odds.
Jesus did, and so can we!
And a note to husbands … don’t forget that Valentine’s day is just around the corner. Remember … the secret to a long lasting relationship is falling in love again and again … and always with the same person!
And to those of you that aren’t married … use Valentine’s Day to communicate to those closest to you of your love. The book of Proverbs says: “Better is an open rebuke than love that is concealed!” (Proverbs 25:7). In other words, it is better to rebuke someone than to withhold your words of love from them.
Let someone know that you appreciate them. Tell them today! Don’t wait another minute.
…and I will see you this weekend!
Much Love,
Pastor Wayne Cordeiro

Dear Saints,
We are in the midst of our signature conference, “The Heart Behind Doing Church As a Team” but I couldn’t wait to write to you and share what’s on my heart.
If you were not able to attend the DCAT conference, you can catch the vibrant excitement this weekend at Farrington. The group Avalon will be our special guest artist and we will start a new series entitled, “No Higher Calling“. This series is designed to graduate us to servant-hood where most of our growth will take place. I tell people that when we find ourselves getting either cynical or bored, it’s time to jump in and serve with all our hearts. That’s the remedy!
Thank you also for parking off site each weekend.
You have helped so much in decreasing the congestion in our parking lot. If everybody can chip in, we can do it! Success can only happen when we do it together … as a team!
Much love,
Pastor Wayne Cordeiro

Dear Saints:
Lately I’ve been counting my blessings and am often reminded of how very blessed Anna and I are because of YOU. I am continually in awe of God’s grace and love & the saints that He has brought to fellowship at New Hope are the best!
Wasn’t our guest speaker Ms. Sue Thomas fantastic last week? Her story is a testimony of God’s amazing grace. If Sue can overcome what she had to, how much more can we (Click here to watch the service).
This coming weekend I’m thrilled because my dear friend, Dr. Stan Simmons will be with us. Stan is the senior pastor of Faith Chapel in Billings, Montana. The radio broadcast, “The Living Word,†has been an extension of Stan’s teaching ministry for over twenty years. I spent a few days with Stan this past summer prior to going to the Willow Creek Leadership Summit in Chicago.
Our Doing Church As a Team conference is coming up next week! Although the day sessions have reached the maximum capacity, we still have seats during the evening sessions.
After our DCAT conference we’ll kick off a new series that’ll take us through Palm Sunday entitled, “No Higher Calling.” I will be speaking on God’s call on our lives and how to cooperate with Him. Invite your family and friends to begin this new series with us… you won’t want to miss it!
Much love,
Pastor Wayne Cordeiro
