GREAT IS YOUR FAITHFULNESS!

Carl Higashi

Scripture

In this psalm, David acknowledges that it is God who sustains ALL who are fallen! Those who are reverend, humbled, submitted to His authority will be raised up. Those who look to Him, He will sustain with food and sustenance in His perfect time. He will give and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

To all that call upon Him in truth, He is near. He guarantees the desires of those who fear Him will be fulfilled! In addition, He will hear their prayers, cries, and save them! The Lord will never loose anyone who loves Him.

Application

As I look out across the bay to the community of Hawaii Kai, the Lord reminds me of His faithfulness to fulfill all His promises.

Three years ago where we had a Men’s Ministry BBQ at Kuliouou Beach Park and the Lord gave me a vision of a Men’s Ministry that would be an unstoppable army for the Lord that would move in the unity of the Spirit to first reach the community of Hawaii Kai then grow from there. At the BBQ we had about 40+ men, many were new to the church, many of them not plugged into any small group.

There has been much that has since transpired since. Two of the previous Men’s leaders have since passed (Pastor Rick and Pastor Jason) and are now risen up with the Christ. We now have a whole new leadership team and God continues to sustain and provide for the L.E.A.D. Men of New Hope Hawaii Kai.

As we just have a few days till our first Men’s Rally in years (this Saturday at Kaiser High School), the Lord reminds me that He is faithful to deliver in His timing all the needs and the desires for His people. Those who:

1. Call upon Him in truth
2. Fear Him and are submitted to His authority (and the authority that He has in place.)
3. Love Him with all their heart

In this season, increase my time with Him in prayer, worship, solitude, and devotion.

Prayer

Lord thank you for your faithfulness and always drawing close to me when I seek You. I love You Lord. I am called to be a good steward of my time and be very intentional in this season. Please guide and direct my steps and discipline me for the sake of holiness unto You.

Your provision and fulfillment of all my desires in life and ministry is not one of “if” any longer. When I call upon You in truth, fearing You, and loving You with all my heart the desires of my heart will be aligned with your will and be done!

May this Saturday be just another step towards the vision that You have for the Men. Please draw men to yourself as the Men at NH meet this Saturday! May You be glorified alone!

Thank you Lord for your faithfulness. Great is thy faithfulness O Lord! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
