Scripture

Deuteronomy 11:12 (NIV)

12 It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end.

Observation

The land of Egypt was nothing like they could ever imagine in Canaan. In Canaan there was Heaven’s natural rain versus the man made irrigation in Egypt. God prophesied continued blessings if the Israelites remained faithful to Him. The same is true with anyone today. Remain faithful and experience the natural blessings of joy of the Lord.

Application

The Bible is my guide book to experiencing God’s joy and His blessings. The promises of the Lord are written for me in the Bible, I just need to be faithful in following Him to understand the promises of His blessings. “Do not be anxious about anything...”

The instructions are clearly written out for me: Instructions like - Love the Lord your God with all your heart; Love others; Always give thanks to the Lord in spite of what I’m going through; Be kind to everyone, and so on.

The Bible not only shows me what to do but why we do this. It’s the right thing to do in order to be right with God. Please God by being like Jesus.

Prayer

Lord, let Your promises keep my eyes on You and always reaching for Your Glory. Amen.
