Being A Witness

Richard Waialeale

Scripture
Acts 11:20 (NIV) 20 Some of them, however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus.
Observation
I believe God placed in everyone a heart of evangelism. Some people might not feel they have that ability to reach others, but it’s in there. In chapter 11 of the book of Acts, God uses some unnamed believers of faith to reach the Greeks of Antioch. A witness is somebody who shares personal experience. God doesn't expect you to be His salesman. You don't have to pressure or argue anybody into heaven. You're not a salesman for God, you're a witness. Nobody is a better witness on what God has done in your life, than you.Definition of witness -- "A witness is someone who is sharing what God has doneIN MYlife."
Application
The application for me is it’s like if I had the cure for AIDS or the cure Cancer or Alzheimer or some Major Disease - I would be out of my mind if I wasn’t sharing it with everyone. I have a message even greater than that. It's not just life changing, it's life saving. The Bible says your witness is the power God uses to get people into heaven. It has eternal consequences.
Prayer
Father, thank You for making me part of Your plan to share the Good News. Yet, Lord I realize that's a responsibility because You have said there is no Plan B. If we don't share it there are many people who will never hear it. Help me to be moved with compassion for the people around me. Got to save one more for Jesus, Got to save one more for Jesus. In Your name we pray, Amen
