No Compromising

Richard Waialeale

Scripture
Acts 18:5-6 (NIV) 5 When Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ. 6 But when the Jews opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them, "Your blood be on your own heads! I am clear of my responsibility. From now on I will go to the Gentiles."
Observation
In today’s world, when we share the Gospel of Jesus, we are faced with challenges and misunderstandings of God’s Word and what’s correct and what’s false. There are different religions and beliefs, and even atheists or non-believers. But since the time of Jesus, and with the Apostle Paul - the lesson for me is to stay true to the Word of God. Do not compromise what the Bible says.I was preparing for an upcoming wedding, and as I discussed the sequence of the ceremony, the bride ask me to not pray at the end because her maid of honor is an atheist. In a loving and compassionate manner I shared with her to not compromise her faith in Jesus because this is her special day. This is her day and her wedding, that’s why the friend is the maid of honor. She should be honored to be a part of her friends special day - atheist or not. It’s Jesus you will need throughout your days as husband and wife, not your atheist friend. When you walk through the fire, who will be there walking with you to make sure you survive and walk out, your friend or Jesus?
Application
The application for me is to study God’s Word and whenever sharing Jesus Christ to someone - be ready in and out of season. People will often challenge me but never ever compromise my faith. Stay true and humble, yet fierce to defend the Sword of the Spirit - in Love. do everything in Love.
Prayer
Lord I thank you for your Word that keeps me confident in who I am and my destiny in life. I pray that many more will come to believe in Jesus and follow You. Thank you for the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with them with no fear. Amen.
