Scripture

Woe to those who plan iniquity, to those who plot evil on their beds!

At morning light they carry it out, because they have the power to do it.

Micah 2:1

Observation

The children of Israel were living in rebellion and planning and scheming to fulfill their own selfish desires. They had no regards for Gods laws and statutes. The Lord was ready to pour out His wrath against them for their evil schemes. This verse speaks to me because we are in the mist of planning and setting the direction for our ministry. This verse reminds me how important planning. You can have the best intentions, but who’s plans are you making each one of us have the choice of how we make our plans. And if we do it with the wrong heart it like plotting evil as you lay on that bed pondering what needs to be done.

Application

We all want to plan and have an agenda but those one will prevail and how will we accomplish it. The best plan my not even be Gods plans. That is why it is so important to set apart the time and consecrate ourselves as preparation. Seeking Him and waiting upon Him is so important. It keeps me from rushing into making plan that are not well though out and sifted through. It is so important to ask Him and seek Him. Taking the time in prayer, fasting, worship, and thanksgiving. These are tools that he has given us to that we can accomplish His plans and allow us to do it His way.

Prayer

Thank you Lord for affirming and confirming that what we do in preparation hold the key to your hand over all that we do. We need your presence.. it say you came down from your dwelling place to execute justice. My prayer is that you come down from your dwelling place to be glorified.
