Recognizing Jesus

Richard Waialeale

Scripture

Romans 10:13 (NIV)

13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

XX

Observation

It’s never too late to save a life. I’ve seen people on their death bed, in the hospital, receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. All that said, I should never give up on a soul.

In the book of Luke, when Jesus was hanging on the Cross, there were two criminals also being executed. The Bible says one of the criminals hurled insults at Jesus, “Aren’t you the Christ? Save yourself and us!”

But the other criminal rebuked him saying, “Don’t you fear God?” We deserve what we’re getting, but this man has done nothing wrong.“

”Then he said, Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.“

”Jesus answered him, I tell you right now, today you will be with me in paradise.“

The one criminal call on the name of Jesus, he recognized Jesus right before he was to be executed, he called on the name of the Lord. It’s never to late to save a soul, win a life to Jesus.

Application

Jesus shows me that even on the Cross, right till then end - he is still saving lives and winning souls over to the Kingdom of God. I must never give up on a soul to win them over to Jesus and to save a life. I bet there are many people that feel a whole lot different when they’re time is short and now they are searching desperately. I must be ready in season and out, to to offer the salvation and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Always be ready.

Prayer

Father I thank you for loving me and that I can never lose my salvation. Lord there are people in this world that don’t recognize you until their last breath. I pray that if I happen to be there that I recognize the opportunity and share Jesus with them. Help me Lord be ready at all times to win a soul and save a life for the sake of the Kingdom. Amen.
