A Place To Meet With God√

Richard Waialeale

Scripture

Exodus 19:1-3 (NIV)

1 In the third month after the Israelites left Egypt--on the very day--they came to the Desert of Sinai.

2 After they set out from Rephidim, they entered the Desert of Sinai, and Israel camped there in the desert in front of the mountain.

3 Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said, "This is what you are to say to the house of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel.

Observation

Everyone should have a place where they can meet with God. A place where it’s just you and God, where you feel you can hear God the best. A place where God calls you to.

Whenever I’m preparing for a message, I go to Ward Theater Starbucks and take a pad and pen with me. I sit and for an hour or two, simply write down all my thoughts. I pray that the Holy Spirit will fill me with His Words and Wisdom.

I also remember when I was experiencing challenging times. Times when I was faced with a decision, a cross roads in my ministry. I would take a walk around the Ala Wai, clear my head and as I walk I’d listen for the Lord’s instructions.

Application

I always remember certain places where I feel spiritually at ease with myself. I realize that God is every where and He’ll answer me from anywhere. But I just needed to find a place where I feel God calls me too and a place where I can calm down my anxiety and be in solitude with myself to hear God the best. There are many places I recall God speaks to me but these are my mount Sinai.

Prayer

Father You have placed me right here for this time and this place. Thank you for whispering to me in my time of need. Whether it’s preparing a message or facing the challenges of life. Thank you for walking with me in Jesus Name I Pray. Amen.
