Disciple of the True Gospel

Rod Shimabukuro

Scripture

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—[7]not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. Galatians 1:6-7

Observation

Right out of the blocks of his letter to the Christians in Galatia, Paul calls out those who are abandoning their relationship with Jesus. They are turning to a different “good news.”

The distortion of deception - will lead to the distortion of the Truth. Deception can occur like a slow IV drip, into our spiritual veins - affecting our hearts.

Application

I want to stand strong in knowing, living and then teaching the Word of God. To not distort the truth is to KNow Jesus - the Truth and HIs Word, being sanctified first in my own heart by HIs truth.

Prayer

Help me to live differently by knowing and living out the truth = to reach the lost, disciple the saved - advancing the Kingdom… first in my marriage, as a father, pastor and leader!
