Scripture

Galations 6Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. 2Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. 5For each will have to bear his own load.

Observation

Paul here is addressing issues of our, responsibility to care for one another and to be accountable for one’s own actions.

Application

We must not deceive ourselves about our own sin and our vulnerability to sin. We cannot be prideful in our own account of who we are and what we have been forgiven of. But as we go into restoration with another brother the burdens that we are to bare are in the forms of accountability towards restoration and self-control on our behalf that we do not correct with a spirit of pride or judgment.

Prayer

Dear Lord, Thank you for always correcting me with such love. Please help me to take a correct account of who I am and what you are doing in me. Please help me to remember how gracious you are in my restoration. And help me to extend the same grace and love to others. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen
