They need to see Jesus
Richard Waialeale
Scripture
John 7:27-29 (NIV) 27 But we know where this man is from; when the Christ comes, no one will know where he is from." 28 Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, "Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own, but he who sent me is true. You do not know him, 29 but I know him because I am from him and he sent me."
Observation
Jesus was relatively unknown until His manifestation (The Cross and Resurrection). People find it difficult to comprehend ones testimony of a life knowing God and where it all began. What Jesus said is true, that if you know God, you would understand. God has a specific call and assignment for you, yet, without that relationship with God, one will never know. Jesus pointed people to God - some received and some refused.
Application
A testimony of ones life is how God changed and affected that person. When I share my testimony, there are some people who will understand and then some that will not. My call and my main objective is to point them to Jesus. When I read the Bible, I see how the prophets and how Jesus always pointed people back to God and once they recognize Him, they recognized and understood God (Jesus). My testimony will only be as meaningful as how I can get those to see Jesus.
Prayer
Lord I pray, my purpose and call is to point people back to You by sharing the transformation of my life because of You. Thank you for loving me enough to change me from Glory to Glory. Amen.
