Victorious!

Carl Higashi

Scripture

Isaiah 54:17

“No weapon that is formed against you will prosper;
 And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord.

Observation

In Chapter 54 the prophet Isaiah tells us that although God’s people will suffer, we are also the most valuable possessions to Him. He confirms this in verse 17 by letting His people know that any weapon, anything used against them, any enemy of His people, any person(s) who speaks against them will not prosper.

Eternal victory at the is the legacy that the people of God are assured in Christ. Those who love Him, His servants, will have victory over all who come against them. In the end, God will always vindicate, justify, protect, prove, and approve His people those He loves.

Application

Those who are faithful to Christ will always have a victorious life in the end, it is a promised legacy from God. So, today God’s word reminds me that setbacks are temporary and any weapon, evil deed, criticism, and negative thoughts have all been defeated by Jesus Christ at the Cross. Knowing this, I am called to live a life that:

  1. Takes no offense at all
  2. Extends amazing grace
  3. Loves God and others
Prayer

Lord, the past few days have been quite trying as I fight this cold. But I know that all my suffering is temporary and victory is assured in You no matter how bad I may feel. I thank You for your faithfulness to suffer for us on the Cross at Calvary and being the model for living a victorious life!

May your Spirit lead me to resist the enemy, not shouldering any offense, but instead extend amazing grace and Your love to others, that people be saved and You be glorified!

Love you Lord! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
