A Reflection of Jesus

Marsha Kochi

Scripture

Acts 4:
13 Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus.

Observation

Boldness, confidence and courage describes former fishermen, Peter and John as they taught what they learned from Jesus. The Bible says we have nothing to fear because He is for us. Without doubt or hesitation they preached, taught and ministered. Their words and actions proved that they were close to Jesus, they had become like Him.

Application

It's mpossible to change our ways unless we are spending time with The Lord. There is nothing that can explain the super natural things that happen when He heals us of our past, or physically heals people of their diseases. We can become like the Jewish leaders with their sinful and selfish ways and not look to the work that God is doing and miss an opportunity that would eventually allow a person like Saul to become Paul the Apostle. I need to always remember that it's not about me, but it's about God who is in me that speaks and makes a difference.

Prayer

Lord thank You for Your Word that reminds me to continue to spend quality time with You. Help me to be bold and confident when I speak, and not fear man, but to know that Your words will impact because of who You are in me.
