Hearing and Teaching God’s Commands

Rod Shimabukuro

Scripture

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, [2]“Command the people of Israel and say to them, ‘My offering, my food for my food offerings, my pleasing aroma, you shall be careful to offer to me at its appointed time.’ Numbers 28:1-2

So Moses told the people of Israel everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses. Numbers 29:40

Observation

Moses must have been pretty spectacular in Mind. To remember all the Lord commanded - Pretty Incredible. Or his shorthand must have been efficient! The Feasts of Booths, Trumpets, Weeks - Daily, Sabbath, Monthly, Passover Offering commands...Day of Atonement... There was quite a bit of recall Moses had to have to communicate the commands of God to His people.

Application

When I think of someone giving me instructions, and having to remember to make the
- How to fix a car.... remembering phone numbers, directions to ...? I would be overwhelmed if I were in Moses’ shoes.

The Lord is asking of me, requiring me to step it up...
Scripture Memory has been on my heart. I want to be and become a better Bible teacher and preacher. But I must increase my capacity to remember. I need Moses mind, memory, capacity - anointing.

Prayer

Thank you for increasing my love for You and Your Word. Help me to be a great steward of Your Word, studying and rightly preparing, interpreting and teaching Your Word. Anointing of God.... fill me!
