Scripture
1The word of theLordcame to Jonahson of Amittai:2“Go to the great city of Ninevehand preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.”3But Jonah ranaway from theLordand headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from theLord.
Observation
Johnah had clear instructions of where to go anf what to say, and yet he went in the other direction. For Jonah the problem wasn't that the instructions were unclear, the problem was he idn't like what he was told to do.
Application
I can relate to Jonah. There are times when the Lord asks you to do things that i want to say no way. There are times that I want to head in the other direction. There are other times that i can battle in my mind that couldn't be what God is asking me to do that and I buy a one way ticket so I don’t have to deal with it. Learning to trust that the Lord know the begining and the endings of thing is so important. Many times he asks us to do things and are impposilbe ofr us to do, Because it is then that I can't rel ion my own wisdom and strength i must rely on The Lord.
Prayer
tahnk for the lessons that help me to trust that whatever you me instructions to do I don't set sails for Tarshish.
