He’s growing my faith

Rod Shimabukuro

Scripture

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Hebrews 11:3

Observation

Hardships were evident among the Hebrew Christians. The well known Faith chapter, the Great Hall of faith were filled with heroes who each endured their unique obstacles, testings and trials. These testimonies of overcoming faith were established on the living word of God, who spoke all of creation into existence. This demonstration of power, authority, sovereign rule and guidance as Creator of the universe was the foundation of their faith. The ability to trust and believe is birthed in and through this God and His living, powerful Word.

There are decisions left to us, to hear, not harden our hearts, to listen and be united in faith. (Heb. 4). For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. (Heb. 4:2). the very first words of Hebrews (1:1-3), sets the tone as the bedrock of the faith God desires us to know and walk in. Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, (Heb. 1:1-3).

Application

I cannot help but again... deeply and gratefully resonate with the spirit of worship. I feel so moved to revere this God...who I can call (with majestic honor) my God. I am thankful for the faith God birthed in me - and to be cradled and loved by this unfathomable and mysterious God - who makes Himself so real, personal to me as my Daddie, brother, friend. To live differently means for me to continue knowing Him through His Word. My lack in memorizing and meditating in His Word, is something I want to grow in discipline to do. I know He is growing my faith, by growing my understanding of who HE is!

Prayer

Oh My God...!!! OMG...in the most reverent, worshipful way I know how to feel and express... YOU ARE AMAZING! I LOVE YOU...I LOVE YOU!!! I LOVE YOU GOD...Daddie, Jesus and Holy and precious Spirit.
