Posture your heart-greeters
This is a recent word I shared with our Awesome Greeters!
Dear Greeters! I sensed that the Lord gave me a word for our Greeters…….
Posture your heart. Position your heart, attitude and life in a way that you are totally submitted to His Voice and Will.
This needs to happen, especially for me, when I’m upset, frustrated, disappointed, placing my hopes and expectations in others, when I feel let down or not cared for…
Do you ever feel this way? I’m sure we all deal with various attitudes at different times. Whatever you are facing or dealing with – Posture your heart before the Lord.
How do I do this?
1. Kneel before the Lord. I also lay face down at times while I’m praying. I find a quiet place or sometimes when I’m running, I stop to look at trees, rocks, God’s creation and posture my heart to thank the Lord, listening to see if He wants to speak to me.
2. While I’m meditating on God’s Word. That sounds simple but there’s too many times I’m reading God’s Word and not soaking in Him and not meditating on His Word. I don’t linger and simmer in His Word – I rush through my readings too often!!!
3. I also posture my heart through worship. At times in my office, I’ll lock the door, get on my knees and seek God. I’ll be on the computer and I’ll back off, close my eyes and allow my heart and mind to be postured in His presence.
What about you? How can you better posture your heart to hear His voice, to know His heart and to feel His presence?
Matthew 6:6~~
“But whenever you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.”
Let’s shut de door, keep out de devil and posture our hearts through prayer, worship, His Word and fellowship with passionate Christians whose hearts are intent on growing in and on with Jesus!
