Hard Head – Hard Heart
Romans 2
5But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

There were flailing Christians who exchanged their fatih for their “fleshly” sinful cravings. They are reminded that there’s a bigger picture – the day of God’s wrath. We don’t always take into account the bigger picture as we “give into” our fleshly cravings. The temporary pleasures trick us into short term satisfaction of sin, yet we store up wrath for ourselves apart from Jesus grace to live as overcomers!

These are 2 qualities I don’t want to be good at – being stubborn and unrepentant!! But it seems that my “flesh” doen’t need to much training in this area – just a little yielding – a little stubbornness here, a little stubbornness there…and my heart gets cold adn unrepentant.
I hate when I have those “I don’t care” feelings or moments. Those are the times I must be extra careful – extra cautious of my sinful desires. Those I don’t care moments mixed with a little stubbornness of heart will take me on a nasty journey.
I want to live differently today by:
- Developing a repentant heart and lifestyle. Be quick to apologize, not hold grudges.
- Contrary to stubbornness is my heart to be submissive and humble. I must fight for humility and a submissive attitude – even when things aren’t going my way or when I don’t like some situations or people.
- Don’t be so Hard-headed so that I won’t become Hard Hearted!!!!

Ouch Lord…another convicting word, just perfect for my soul and life! Thanks for not allowing me to get away with stubbornness. Thanks for sensitizing my heart by Your Holy Spirit to not allow a stubborn attitude to settle in me. I always desire to be a repentant child! I love You!
