Sitting around a table of great leaders, one sister shared how she would come to serve God, leaving her problems aside, to approach and worship God. But she then felt that God wanted her to bring “all of her life”, problems and all, to God, so she wouldn’t have to go back to pick up her problems (that she “left aside”).
Another leader chimed in saying that we all have brown bags of problems, that we carry around. We should bring these bags to God.
Yes! We should bring our brown bag of problems, along with our hearts to love and serve Him, to His throne. God will work through us, understanding our humanity and seeing that our hearts desire is to be healed, filled and used by Him!
God knows that we are not flawless when we come to Him – but we come to Him believing that He forgives us, cleanses us, works through us – even with the brown bags of problems we have. Ah yes…I bring my brown bag to You, so You can deal with me, restore me, cleanse me, renew me and heal me!
2 Corinthians 4
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
