Decision Challengers!
Categories: Leadership

Have any decisions you’ve made ever been challenged? Of course. You wouldn’t be in leadership if your decisions were not challenged.

Every leader should have decisions challenged. Maybe the better way to put it is, every leader should be open to input or questions that would ensure a fruitful outcome for their decision or direction. There are those who love to challenge anything for the sake of challenge and they seem to think it’s their gift to mankind. As leaders, we need to make sure we are not flying solo in our decision making process, especially when our decisions influences or involves other people.

Don’t take offense leaders. Allow others to ask questions. To challenge your decision or direction. If we want the best possible outcome, we will welcome input, questions and suggestions.

Don’t be insecure leaders. Allow others on your team to speak into the process of why you decided what you did.

Don’t be Mr. Large & In-Charge. Allow buy in allowing others to mold and shape your decision.

Don’t be proud. Allow your decision to not be accepted as the best. Ouch…I know this hurts. But, you & I know that it’s true. Our decision may not be the best one.
